2010 Peas of the World Food Drive

Metro CareRing is welcoming all churches, corporations, businesses and individuals to join us our annual food drive, "Peas for the World."  Help us stock the shelves at Metro CareRing by collecting all of our most needed items.
Metro CareRing’s Most Needed Items:  
  •  
    • Can tomatoes,
    • Pasta sauce,
    • Can vegetables,
    • Fruit,
    • Can beans and dry beans,
    • Pasta,
    • Cereal hot and cold,
    • Dry milk and can milk,
    • Tuna,
    • Peanut butter,
    • bar soap,
    • Feminine hygiene,  
    • and
    • Diapers, all sizes (small, medium, large)

In addition to this year's food drive, Metro CareRing is encouraging all not to “give-up” something this year for the lent season, but instead to “give” to Metro CareRing by following our Lenten calendar.  Lent is not all about giving things up. It's also about adding good things to our lives or to others' lives.  Each day is filled with wonderful ideas of how to give back and make a difference this Lenten season.  A secular calendar is also provided for those who want to start a give program at a workplace or school.
